Prenners, SXS’s and Racecars have enough metal in them to disrupt satellite tracking and comms. Get the external antenna so your device tracks well. If you want reliable tracking and comms, get the prerunner upgrade. If you want the iridium antenna, doc and the high-power cable to build a full blown prerunner/race setup, you can do it here too.
P.S. I’m assuming you have your magnetic mounting base for your Tread. You will have to add the cable adapters to your magnetic base. If you don’t have a magnetic base, we sell that too.

P.S. Except for the dock, all of these accessories work with the Tread XL overland, Tread XL Chase and Race Editions, Tread 8” Overland 8” and Tread SXS Edition. I bet you can make the doc fit the 8” with enough sawcuts, but say goodbye to your warranty.
